As you know, I’m from Pennsylvania. I was born in Philadelphia and my parents moved to Havertown, a suburb, when I was three. I left for California when I was a young man and never looked back… until now.
I have been knocking on doors with Seed the Vote https://seedthevote.org/ for the past five days. They are incredibly well organized and the turnout for canvassing here in Pennsylvania has been staggering.
I think the results of this race will be overwhelmingly clear on Election Day. Kamala and Tim are going to win by a landslide. You can thank Trump for providing us with such a clear cut choice… and a stepping stone for not only the first woman to become president, but also the first woman of color! As I see it, we are entering a new age… an age in which women are empowered and men are supportive. When this happens, climate change will naturally become a higher priority.
This upcoming Monday I will be attending a concert/rally for Kamala Harris in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. If all goes as I hope, this is when I will be giving her the pine cone.  A plaque on the pine cone’s case reads:

President Harris
Please make Climate Change a high priority.
The Sugar Pine Foundation
Lake Tahoe, U.S.A.
The day after this event (election day!) I will be sitting in front of the White House with “A Pine Cone’s Dream”, a book with blank pages. I’ll be asking people to write comments and illustrate what they think a pine cone would say to Kamala Harris about Climate Change, and I’ll be passing this Storybook around to various groups in the Bay Area. If you’re interested in writing or drawing something, please let me know.  I’ll be sending it to Kamala when it’s full.
Meanwhile …

BE SURE TO VOTE!
This is a pivotal moment in history and you’ll want to be able to tell your grandchildren, and your cats, that you were a part of it!
Peace & Love,
❤️ Jes
