For many years, Karin Conn (https://karinconnpr.com/) has stood beside me in the work of building a more peaceful world, first through the GandhiMobile, and now through new projects inspired by Gandhi’s timeless message of love in action. Together, we’re devoting ourselves to “Purple For Peace”, a movement reminding us that peace begins within our own hearts and radiates outward.
The photo was taken at the “No Kings” Rally in San Rafael, one of the most uplifting and heart-expanding gatherings I’ve ever attended. As we handed out purple armbands, we asked each person: “Do you promise to be nonviolent?”
Every single person said yes, eyes bright with sincerity and hope. Each “yes” felt like a spark, tiny flames of connection igniting between strangers who believe that love is stronger than fear.
We want to keep that light burning and growing.
